1896 $1 PR67 Cameo PCGS. This proof issue of 762 pieces is praised by a number of numismatic experts, particularly for its strike and contrast properties, and this fantastic Superb Gem exemplifies those traits. Moderate frost crosses the exquisitely detailed devices, and the potent mirrors are particularly pleasing and notably well-preserved. Combining these facets yields an excellent, nearly black-and-white effect.
