Description
Pretty 1895-O Morgan MS62
1895-O $1 MS62 PCGS. The 1895-O is one of the Morgan dollar midseries "stoppers" in Mint State. Most examples found are in XF or AU condition. True Mint State examples, such as the present specimen, are rare. This pretty piece offers light pinkish-copper toning on both sides, with good luster that is only somewhat subdued. While not fully struck through the centers, the strike is better than usual, with slight softness. A few light reeding marks and abrasions on the cheek and chin account for the MS62 assessment, but the reverse appears choice for the grade, and the overall eye appeal is high. Population: 37 in 62, 35 finer (6/06).(Registry values: P9, N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255Y, PCGS# 7236, GSID# 7620)
