As is diagnostic of proof quarter eagles from this year, the base of the 19 in the date is ever-so-slightly repunched, and a die line is visible beneath the T in LIBERTY. This flashy, well-contrasted specimen boasts illimitable depth of mirrored brilliance. Only a couple of wispy pinscratches under the eagle's left (facing) wing stand in the way of Gem status.(Registry values: P1)
