Description
Conditionally Scarce Full Head Near-Gem 1926-S Standing Liberty
1926-S 25C MS64 Full Head NGC. Fully lustrous with lovely reddish-tan toning that attractively frames each side. Only scattered small brown toning spots, on the reverse, seem to hold back the grade on this otherwise Gemlike example. The '26-S quarter is scarce in all Uncirculated grades, second only to the 1927-S among late dates, and is nearly impossible to locate with this combination of strike and near-Gem quality. Population: 9 in 64 Full Head, 17 finer (6/05).(#5759)(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 243T, PCGS# 5759, GSID# 5594)
