Description
Pleasing 1906 Quarter Eagle in Proof 63 PCGS
1906 $2 1/2 PR63 PCGS. The color presents two somewhat varied "looks" on the obverse and reverse. While the former is yellow-gold in sheen, the latter side displays pale golden-rose tinting. Fully brought up throughout--as befits a specimen striking--both sides are reflective in finish with a few light contact marks in the fields preventing a higher grade. The proof 1906 was produced to the extent of just 160 pieces, and survivors are roughly equal in rarity to those of the proof 1907 delivery.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288W, PCGS# 7932, GSID# 8597)
