Description

Interesting Choice Uncirculated 1856-O Half Dollar

1856-O 50C MS64 PCGS. WB-102, FS-6.5. The date was initially entered with a rising slope, then partially effaced and properly re-entered. Although all four digits have evidence of the prior logotype, the 1 and the 6 in the date offer the widest spread. This is a bright, lustrous example with blushes of pale orange toning here and there. A shallow scratch is noted above Liberty's left shoulder.
