Description

Well Struck and Pleasing PR62 1895 Morgan

1895 $1 PR62 NGC. An impressive and lightly toned example that has a razor sharp strike. There is a faint vertical streak of violet-rose color below the eagle's left wing. The obverse has a few wispy hairlines and slide marks, while the reverse has pleasing surfaces. As no 1895 business strikes are known, the thousands of numismatists that collect Morgan Dollars must turn to the 1895 proof issue. The mintage of 880 pieces is vastly insufficient to satisfy the demand for unimpaired survivors.
