Description
Lustrous MS62 1822 Half Dollar, O-104
1822 50C MS62 PCGS. O-104, R.3. Stars 1 and 13 are each about a half-millimeter from the bust and curls, and there is a center dot on the neck. On the reverse, the N is higher than U or I. This attractive, sharply struck piece boasts original patina in shades of pinkish-gold in the centers, with steel-blue at the rims. Much mint luster emanates from underneath the light toning, but a few contact marks on the neck, in particular, appear to prevent a higher Mint State grade.
