Description
Splendid 1805 Dime, MS 64
1805 10C 5 Berries MS 64 PCGS. JR-1, R.3. This is an absolutely extraordinary type coin. We doubt that the photo, scan, or our description could do justice to the exceptional quality and strong eye appeal represented by this piece. Each side has a light, silvery-gray appearance and the fields exhibit a strong prooflike sheen. The strike is generally strong, but there are some areas of weakness, most notably around the lower shield point. Only when closely examined does one notice a few scattered abrasions that account for the less-than-Gem grade. Population: 17 in 64, 13 finer (10/99).Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 4478, GSID# 3969)
Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
Weight: 2.70 grams
ASW: 0.07747oz
