Description

MS 63 1931 Double Eagle

1931 MS 63 NGC. One of the rare, late-date Saint-Gaudens double eagles with the vast majority having been melted from 1929-1933 and probably fewer than a hundred pieces surviving today. Full bright luster with just a hint of toning and a few small marks as one would expect of an MS 63. A choice specimen of this rare date.
