Description

Vibrant, Original 1929 Twenty Dollar

1929 $20 MS64 PCGS. The 1929 commences a run of rare issues that continues to the end of the Saint-Gaudens twenty dollar series. Although not as rare as the dates that follow it, the 1929 is still a difficult coin to locate in all grades. The vibrant orange-gold surfaces of this Choice Uncirculated survivor are free of all but a few inconsequential handling marks. Hints of mint-green are confined to the obverse periphery. The scintillating mint frost cartwheels gently around both sides and accents the powerfully struck devices. Premium quality for the grade and worthy of a carefully considered bid.
