Description

Conditionally Rare 1807 Draped Bust Dime, Extraordinary MS 64 Preservation

1807 10C MS 64 PCGS. JR-1, the only known dies, R.2. The final-year 1807 (165,000 pieces produced) is one of the most easily obtainable issues in the Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle dime series of 1798-1807. Nevertheless, the example that we offer here is undeniably scarce from the standpoint of surface preservation. There are no overly distracting abrasions, and the surfaces display a frosty, champagne-gray appearance. Characteristic softness of strike and adjustment marks (as produced) are noted for accuracy.
From the Bob Bisanz U.S. Type Set.
