1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, No Period MS65 Brown PCGS. Newman 7-D. A gorgeous chocolate-brown and olive-green Gem with unabraded carbon-free surfaces. The luster is moderately prooflike. A slender retained lamination (as issued) connects the E in REX to the bust tip. Listed on page 43 of the 2009 Guide Book.
