Scarce Near-Gem 1856-O Seated Half Dollar
1856-O 50C MS64 PCGS. Breen-4868, WB-103. The 56 in the date is repunched. Well struck with shimmering luster and attractive russet and champagne peripheral toning. There are a few trivial contact marks on each side, and a minor scrape is noted near the tip of the leftmost leaf on the lower reverse. Population: 33 in 64, 8 finer (10/08).
