Description

Almost Uncirculated 1795 Small Eagle Ten-Dollar

1795 AU 50 PCGS. B. 2-A. A representative of the first year of America's largest denomination coin--at the time--designated the "eagle." This is interesting not only a type coin, but also as a date in the series. It just so happens the first year, 1795, is still the most plentiful of the type. This specimen is softly struck in the centers and shows a few adjustment marks on the reverse. The surfaces exhibit a deep, rich golden color, and are somewhat reflective.
