Description
1841-O 50C MS63 PCGS. Medium golden-gray patina over lustrous surfaces. The design detail is sharply struck for an early O-mint Seated half, and the surfaces are clean and free of serious abrasions. One small linear contact northwest of the mint mark does not distract. The availability of this issue has been enhanced by the relatively-recent discovery of a hoard of about 40 pieces on the site of the former Fort Harrison in Florida.(#6237) (Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24GS, PCGS# 6237, GSID# 6313)
