Description
Pleasing AU 50 1825 Quarter Eagle
1825 AU 50 PCGS. Of the estimated 90 pieces believed known of this issue today, the average grade is XF 48 (as computed by Akers in 1975). While only slightly above average in grade, this piece has above average eye appeal with remnants of the original prooflike finish still in evidence in the fields and good definition on the devices. Both sides show numerous, small abrasions, but none are singularly distracting.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25FG, PCGS# 7664, GSID# 8221)
