Description
Attractive 1918-S Nickel, MS63
1918-S 5C MS63 PCGS. The 1918-S Buffalo is one of the most elusive series issues in the higher Mint State grades, and almost never seen in Gem or finer condition. Although this example displays a typical weak strike, both date and lettering are clear, and the bison's horn and mintmark are crisply outlined. The surfaces show few abrasions for the grade, certainly none that demand attention. Subtle copper and rose accents along the rims contrast with silver-gray surfaces. An eye-appealing example.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RK, PCGS# 3940, GSID# 3117)
