Description
Important Select Uncirculated 1921-S Half Dollar, MS63 PCGS
1921-S 50C MS63 PCGS. Fewer 1921-S Walking Liberty Halves were set aside at the time of issue than for any other date in this series. As a result, the '21-S has earned the title of "King of the Walkers," particularly in the finer Mint State grades. The present Select piece is lightly toned with a bright, lustrous underlying sheen. The strike is well above average for the type as well as the issue, particularly over Liberty's right (facing) hand in the center of the obverse. Scintillating mint frost blankets surfaces that are devoid of all but one or two trivial bagmarks. Solidly graded as a Select specimen, and a find for the quality-conscious specialist. From the Nicholas Collection. (#6585) (Registry values: N4719)
