1795 $10 13 Leaves--Tooled, Polished--ANACS. AU Details, Net XF40. Breen-6830, B. 4-B, Taraszka-5, R.5. A large die lump (as made) between OF and AMERICA identifies this rarely seen die marriage. Although clearly far from perfect, this should prove to be a highly desired example as a type or date set coin. The surfaces are extensively marked, the rims have several bruises, and both sides have been lightly polished. It is possible that this is a former jewelry piece. In any event, current market forces suggest that the 1795 Eagle, the first of its kind, is always in high demand. This example, while still substantially valued, should prove to be a relatively affordable example.
