Lovely Gem 1897 Proof Morgan
1897 $1 PR66 PCGS. The 1897 is among the more carefully manufactured issues in the proof Morgan Dollar series, and high grade survivors are often selected to represent the type. This is just such a candidate, and the surfaces are untoned with the exception of a few swirls of pale olive-gold iridescence. Reflective throughout, and devoid of both bothersome striking incompleteness and distracting hairlines. A little bit of softness on the hair curl over Liberty's ear, however, is noted for accuracy.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27ZV, PCGS# 7332, GSID# 7847)
