Description
Problem-Free About Uncirculated 1845-D Quarter Eagle
1845-D $2 1/2 AU50 PCGS. Winter 6-H. Produced to the extent of just 19,460 pieces, the 1845-D has an extant population of perhaps 120-130 coins. This issue is similar in overall rarity to the 1844-D, but it is rarer in high grades. Boldly struck for a Dahlonega Mint emission, with softness of definition only on the neck and left (facing) leg of the eagle. The right obverse field has a couple of minor abrasions, with the surfaces otherwise pleasing. Ample luster across the stars and legends further adds to the eye appeal. Population: 17 in 50, 33 finer (1/03).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25GX, PCGS# 7738, GSID# 8349)
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
Weight: 4.18 grams
AGW: 0.12095oz
