Colorful 1937-D Three-Legged Nickel, MS63
1937-D 5C Three-Legged MS63 NGC. FS-020.2. This lustrous key date nickel is bathed in honey-gold and lilac-red toning. Careful inspection reveals only trivial contact. The strike is precise, particularly on the diagnostic trail of tiny die dots beneath the bison's flank. Along with the 1922 No D, Strong Reverse cent, the most widely collected die abrasion error.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 3982, GSID# 3145)
