Rare Mint State 1895-O Morgan Dollar
1895-O $1 MS61 PCGS. Sharply struck with typical subdued luster, for the issue, and lightly-toned, silver-gray surfaces which are extensively abraded. The 1895-O has long been regarded as one of the stoppers in the Morgan dollar series in Mint State, and current population data confirms its rarity. Only one hundred and sixty pieces have been graded at or above MS60, by PCGS and NGC combined, from an original mintage of 450,000 (4/03).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255Y, PCGS# 7236, GSID# 7620)
