1871 $20 --Obverse Graffiti--ANACS. AU Details, Net XF40. A few light and idle pinscratches are in the upper left field, perhaps these comprise the letters AD. Another light pinscratch is at 5 o'clock on the reverse. The 18 in the date exhibit light recutting, and the dies are slightly rotated. A better date, most of the mintage of 80,120 pieces was presumably eventually melted.(#8960) (Registry values: P6)
