Description

Exceptional 1874-CC Trade Dollar, MS61

1874-CC T$1 MS61 PCGS. Most 1874-CC Trade dollars were apparently shipped to China, helping to account for their paucity in the better Mint State grades. Additionally, they are notorious for poor strikes. This MS61 coin is soft in Liberty's hair and crown and on the eagle's right (facing) claw. The remaining features show good detail. Untoned surfaces possess soft luster and reveal handing marks in the fields. Overall, this piece displays better overall eye appeal than usually encountered for the date.(Registry values: N1793)
