1878-CC $1 MS65 ★ NGC. VAM-2A, R.5. Remarkable streaks of ocean-blue, plum-red, and honey-gold alternate across the obverse, leaving a window of brilliance near the bust tip. The reverse is lightly toned in peripheral tan-gold. Lustrous and sharply struck. LIBERTY is minutely die doubled, and a prominent die chip rests on the lower nose.(Registry values: P4, N1793)
