1819/8 50C Large 9--Improperly Cleaned--NCS. Unc Details. O-102, R.2. The date shows a large, broad 9,the underdigit 8 is evident as a curved line closing the 9 overdigit, and all three Ts on the reverse are defective at the right bases. Cobalt-blue and purple toning flanks the light golden-brown center on the obverse, and the same color palette is randomly distributed over the reverse, though taking on less intense hues. Sharply detailed throughout, and devoid of mentionable abrasions. A few faint hairlines on the cheek show under magnification.
