1878 $3 MS66 NGC. This Premium Gem represents one of the two most common dates within the series of three-dollar gold pieces, and it is an excellent candidate for the type collector. This is especially so as it could be argued that these coins have the best overall eye appeal of any date in the series. Fully brilliant with intense and frosty yellow-gold luster.
