Description:

1921 Morgan Dollar Struck On End of Strip

1921 $1 Morgan Dollar--Struck On End of Strip--AU55 PCGS. A lightly circulated silver-gray 1921 Morgan dollar is usually not even worthy of certification. However, major mint errors on any Morgan dollar are seldom seen, and the present piece is highly desirable. A ragged 3% clip is centered at 11 o'clock, and the denticles are soft opposite at 5 o'clock, a phenomena known as the Blakesley Effect, characteristic of incomplete planchet errors. (#7296)

We changed the way we image slabbed coins on February 1, 2010, in order to get a more accurate image of the coin. To get the sharper details and more accurate colors we have focused the lighting on the actual coin, which has caused the top of the holders to appear darker and milky. Please disregard the color of the holders when examining the images.
