Diverse U.S. Coin Offering Marks Heritage Auctions' Summer FUN In Orlando

July 10-13 Florida United Numismatists (FUN) Convention auction features Colonials through Modern coins

DALLAS — Collectors of early US type coins will be keeping a close on Heritage Auctions' July 10-13 Summer FUN U.S. Coins Signature Auction in Orlando, FL, as an 1802 JR-2 dime MS62 PCGS, the finest known example of this coin, makes itself available to the highest bidder.

"Historically, Summer FUN is known for its Thursday night Premier Session," said Greg Rohan, President of Heritage Auctions, "which gathers together a dazzling assortment of U.S. coins. From colonials to modern rarities, and everything in-between, all level of collector will find something to like here."

Early gold collectors will most likely aggressively pursue a pleasing and pristine 1795 Small Eagle half eagle XF45 NGC from the BD-9 die pair, a much sought-after type coin with only 35 to 45 examples believed to survive.

Numismatists with interests in more modern rarities will find a 1907 Wire Rim $10 gold piece MS64 PCGS hard to overlook. The 1907 Wire Rim $10 is considered a pattern by some and part of the regularly collected series by others and has a minuscule mintage of just 472 pieces according to recent research by Roger Burdette.

Other highlights include, but are not limited to:

1807 25C MS64+ NGC: A high-end, choice example.

1873 $1 MS65 PCGS: The 1873 Seated Liberty dollar is scarce in circulated grades, rare in Mint State, and very rare in MS65 condition.

1871 $1 PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC: A very rare Ultra Cameo example of the type.

1889-CC $1 MS63 NGC: An always in-demand key Morgan Dollar issue.

1825 $2-1/2 MS62 PCGS: An excellent Capped Head to Left example.
