Heritage Launches “Coin Club Outreach” Program
Dallas, Texas: In a move to help strengthen the coin hobby and increase membership in America’s coin clubs Heritage Galleries has created the Coin Club Outreach program. The program features a speakers bureau to deliver presentations at coin club meetings, promotional items to be offered to clubs to help generate revenue and enlist new members, and access to the Heritage website and mailing list of over 100,000 active coin and currency enthusiasts.
According to Steve Ivy, Heritage co-chairman, “Coin clubs are the foundation of the hobby and membership in them offers the best way to educate consumers. As more and more people come into our hobby because of the state quarter program, the fluctuation of the precious metals, and the new designs on our paper money, people need a way to learn about collecting. Coin clubs are one the best places to learn.”
David Lisot, director of Heritage’s Coin Club Outreach program continues, “The staff of Heritage is comprised of many of the country’s top graders, numismatists, and market makers, virtually all of whom are available as guest speakers for coin clubs around the country. When dates are set for a lecture, an e-mail promoting the coin club and the event is sent to the zip codes on the Heritage mailing list within driving range of the club. Any new collector or investor wanting information about the coin hobby is invited. Heritage also donates gifts to the club for door prizes and raffles. The result is new members for the club and new coin collectors for the hobby, a win-win situation for everyone.”
Heritage’s website, www.Heritagecoin.com, has over 100,000 registered members, with more than 5,000 people joining every month. These new collectors, many of whom want to learn about coins, are prime candidates for joining a coin club. Stories about different coin clubs are featured in Heritage’s award-winning newsletter, “Connections,” featured weekly on the website.
Anyone interested in scheduling a speaker for a coin club or other collector group is invited to contact David Lisot at 1-800-872-6467 x303 or email him at DavidL@CeritageCoins.com.
