Latest Heritage Amazing Comics Auctions Internet 14071
Dallas, Texas: Heritage's Amazing Comics Auctions (ACA) sale #14071 ended Sunday, July 4, with 1,336 lots offered. 608 bidders placed bids, and 339 of them were successful, for a total sell-through of $92,512.05 for 1,265 lots (94.68% of lots offered). 13 after-auction lots were purchased by 11 bidders, for a total of $1,407.85.
A few highlights from the 07/04/04 ACA sale are:
Daredevil #1 (Marvel, 1964) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white pages.
This #1 issue features the origin and first appearance of Daredevil (Matt Murdock), along with the first appearance of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. Features plenty of action on it's classic Bill Everett cover. The interiors feature art by Jack Kirby and Everett. Overstreet 2004 VF 8.0 value = $1,794. Realized $1,322.50
Jim Starlin and Steve Leialoha - Warlock #10, page 23 Original Art (Marvel, 1975).
Thanos and Adam Warlock are spotlighted on this spectacular page. There is a stain in the top tier of panels; otherwise the art is in Very Good condition. The image area measures 10" x 15". From the cosmic thriller, "How Strange My Destiny! The Price! Part 1 Chapter 1." Realized $862.50
Tales of Suspense #39 (Marvel, 1963) CGC VG+ 4.5 Off-white pages.
Origin and first appearance of Iron Man, with a Jack Kirby cover and art by Don Heck. A key Silver Age book. Overstreet 2004 VG 4.0 value = $710. Realized $805.00
