Description

1932-D Quarter, MS65+
Three Coins Certified Finer

1932-D 25C MS65+ PCGS. CAC. Of the two key dates in the Washington quarter series, the 1932-D is the less often seen in high grade. Gems are genuinely scarce, and finer pieces are prohibitively rare. We offered one of the three known Premium Gems in lot 3936 of the Long Beach Signature sale (Heritage, 6/2015), where it realized $82,250. This Plus-designated MS65 coin is virtually as fine from a technical standpoint and compares well on grounds of eye appeal. Although more affordable by definition, Plus-graded Gem 1932-D quarters are every bit as rare as there MS66-graded counterparts. This CAC-approved piece is boldly struck with soft champagne toning that yields deeper amber hues over the upper obverse. Population: 82 in 65 (3 in 65+), 2 finer (10/15).(Registry values: N1793)
