Description

1812 O-105a Half Dollar, Large 8, MS64

1812 50C Large 8, O-105a, R.2, MS64 PCGS. Struck from a late state of the dies, with an impressive series of peripheral obverse die cracks that allow prompt attribution. Jade-green and plum-red toning endows this lustrous and nicely struck Choice Bust half dollar. Liberty's cap and drapery folds display full detail. The fields are beautifully preserved, and the portrait shows only a few small marks. A desirable addition to the advanced collection.
