1857 Dime, Boldly Struck MS66
An Important Condition Rarity

1857 10C F-108, R.2, MS66 PCGS. Available in lower grades, the 1857 Seated dime becomes rare at the Premium Gem level and anything finer is almost unobtainable. This piece is boldly struck, with satiny luster that is devoid of distracting abrasions. Both sides show splashes of aquamarine, amber, violet, and champagne toning. Die chips are visible around stars 2 through 6 and 12 and 13, a diagnostic of the variety. Population: 5 in 66 (2 in 66+), 1 finer (11/15).
