1909-D 10C MS66+ PCGS Secure. CAC. Ex: Simpson. The underrated 1909-D Barber dime is the last sub-million-coin issue in the series from the Denver Mint, having a mintage of 954,000 pieces (the last from San Francisco is the 1915-S, 960,00 coins). This Premium Gem PCGS 1909-D from the Simpson Collection is near the top of the heap technically and aesthetically. Lavish patina ranges from pale jade and gold to sunset-orange on the obverse, and greenish-gold and rose on the reverse. A few tiny ticks on the cheek appear only under magnification. Population: 22 in 66 (9 in 66+), 0 finer (11/15).
