Rare Issue in High Grade
1898-S 25C MS65 PCGS. The 1898-S Barber quarter claims a
nominal mintage of just over 1 million pieces and few examples were
saved by contemporary collectors. In fact, many coins were shipped
overseas, to the Philippines and other destinations after the
Spanish American War. This delightful Gem displays sharply detailed
design elements and vibrant mint luster under shades of
lavender-gray and golden-brown toning. Population: 8 in 65 (1 in
