Description

1925 Quarter, Remarkable MS67
Underrated and Rare

1925 25C MS67 NGC. Ex: J.H. Cline. The 1925 Standing Liberty quarter, in Premium Gem and better condition, is significantly rarer in non-Full Head than in Full Head, making such coins both appealing to the budget-conscious collector and underappreciated. In MS67, NGC and PCGS each list only two non-Full Head 1925 quarters with none finer (11/15). This survival rate seems disproportionately low considering both the issue's mintage of more than 12 million coins and the moderate availability of high-grade Full Head coins. Yet, the scarcity of non-Full Head coins in high grade has been fairly constant for decades and is unlikely to change. This piece boasts an excellent strike, including sharp head detail and well-defined shield rivets and stars. Glistening luster is brilliant over the interiors and shows light golden hues around the peripheries.
