Description

1837 1C Plain Cords, Medium Letters, N-7, N-8, R.1, MS65 Brown PCGS. A lengthy die crack runs from the left reverse rim through STATES to the center OF, to the rim over A. Elsewhere, a bold dot between EN of CENT is diagnostic. The lack of die scratches above MERIC suggest the N-7 designation, a late state of the dies. Delightful chestnut-brown color covers both sides of this glossy Gem, which is sharply struck with excellent eye appeal. Our EAC grade MS60.
