Description

1855 Arrows Half Dime, Toned MS66
Tied for Finest at PCGS

1855 H10C Arrows MS66 PCGS. Delightful tones of aquamarine surround bronze-gold centers of this richly toned, Premium Gem half dime. A deeply frosted texture captures the light and returns it in waves of vibrant luster. The strike is sharp for the final-year Arrows type, with full details on the star centers and little evidence of the roller marks that often accompany high-grade specimens of the issue. There are no singular abrasions or marks to mention. Struck from clashed dies, as often seen for the denomination. PCGS reports no finer examples. Population: 17 in 66, 0 finer (2/16).(Registry values: N2998)
