1888 50C PR66 NGC. Light, even patina covers both sides of this lovely Premium Gem proof 1888 Seated half, which further exhibits a needle-sharp strike and excellent preservation throughout. The PR66 grade level is the highest in which examples can be located with any regularity. Only 832 proofs accompanied the circulation-strike mintage of 12,001 pieces.
