Description

1937 Buffalo Nickel, PR68
Seemingly Unimprovable

1937 5C PR68 PCGS. CAC. The second year after the resumption of proof coinage saw the Mint strike 5,769 nickel specimens, examples of which can be found with little searching through PR67. Proofs become rare at this remarkable grade level, where PCGS has seen 30 submissions in PR68 and a single coin finer (3/16). Brilliant surfaces show accents of blue and lack any evidence of contact even under magnification. Good for type.(Registry values: N2998)
