Description

1868 Dime, Toned PR66+ Cameo
Only 600 Proofs Produced

1868 10C PR66+ Cameo PCGS. CAC. A relatively low mintage of only 600 proof dimes was accomplished in 1868, and surviving pieces exhibiting any degree of cameo contrast are elusive in any grade, with Gem or finer representatives genuinely rare. This coin is the sole Plus-graded of just five PR66 Cameo examples at PCGS, and there is only one numerically finer (5/16). Vivid sea-green, violet-orange, and royal-blue hues engulf each side, while the seemingly perfect surfaces complement crisply struck design elements.(Registry values: N1793)
