Description

1884 1C MS66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. This Premium Gem 1884 cent is among the finest in Red and Brown at PCGS, although it rivals the amount of original mint luster seen on many coins that are designated Red. Coppery-orange surfaces show faint violet overtones in the central regions that add character to the satiny luster. The strike is sharp, and there is no obvious carbon spotting. Population: 6 in 66 Red and Brown, 0 finer. CAC: 6 in 66, 0 finer (5/16).(Registry values: N1793)
