Description

1926-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, MS65
Very Rare Any Finer

1926-S $20 MS65 PCGS. Pleasing luster and light shades of green-gold and rose toning endow this conditionally elusive Gem with significant eye appeal. The surfaces are minimally abraded, and marks are difficult to detect, even under magnification. A series of minor disturbances along the upper reverse rim appear to be as struck. The 1926-S was heavily melted, and relatively few have emerged from overseas holdings. This offering represents an important opportunity to acquire a Gem example of this popular San Francisco issue. Population: 36 in 65, 4 finer (6/16).
