Description
1920 Double Eagle, MS64+
Rich Luster and Color
Only One Coin Finer at PCGS
1920 $20 MS64+ PCGS. CAC. PCGS has seen only a single 1920
double eagle worthy of a Gem designation, and none finer (7/16).
Thus, the present Plus-graded, CAC-approved near-Gem is literally
among the finest most collectors can acquire. The strike is bold,
and the surfaces display vividly colored, frosty luster, showing
sun-orange, peach, lilac, and mint-green hues. A few trivial ticks
hardly detract from the eye appeal. Population: 58 in 64+, 1 finer.
CAC: 71 in 64, 0 finer (7/16).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26FY, PCGS# 9170, Greysheet# 10143)
Weight: 33.44 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
