1819/8 N-2 Cent, MS64 Brown
Early Die State
1819/(8) 1C Large Date, N-2, R.1, MS64 Brown PCGS. CAC.
Although some light die cracks appear on the obverse, this is an
early die state showing clear evidence of the overdate feature.
Later die states from a lapped die lack the overdate feature and
are less desirable as such. This Choice Mint State example has full
cartwheel luster on its chestnut-brown surfaces with a patch of
maroon patina along the right reverse border. Our EAC grade MS60.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2255, Variety PCGS# 36631, Base PCGS# 1603, Greysheet# 80202)
