Description
1811/10 O-101 Half, Still-Lustrous AU58
Spiked Cap, 'Dotted Date' Variety
1811/10 50C O-101, R.1, AU58 PCGS. CAC. Frosty, slate-gray
surfaces deepen into bluish toning at the rims while silver luster
shines through the rich patina. The central devices retain sharp
definition despite the minimal circulation. Often described as the
"dotted date" variety, the overdate requires some imagination to
envision, yet the remnants of underdigits are clearly evident on
this near-Mint example. A CAC-endorsed coin, original and
attractive, important as a Guide Book variety.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24EV, Variety PCGS# 39421, Base PCGS# 6099, Greysheet# 193778)
