Very Rare in Mint State
1847 $2 1/2 MS61 PCGS. CoinFacts provides a survival
estimate of 125 1847 quarter eagles in all grades, including 12
mint condition representatives. While those totals seem a bit low
relative to the number of submissions at PCGS and NGC, they offer a
glimpse as to how challenging this underrated issue can be.
Occasional lavender accents complement deep orange-gold coloration
overall. The impression is nearly full, save for minor softness on
the date. Lightly marked and housed in a green label holder.
